"Together We Achieve So Much More!"

The Hawaii Kai Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization, managed by an elected board of directors, consisting of businesses and professionals who have joined together to work towards solutions to the mutual concerns of its businesses and the community. Chamber dues supplement the costs of operating the chamber and may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. The Hawaii Kai Chamber of Commerce makes recommendations to the city, county, and state government. The Mission of the Chamber of Commerce is to promote, perpetuate, and make prosperous the business and civic interests of Hawaii Kai. In the words of Henry Kaiser, “Where dreams do come true in the spirit of aloha”.

It has been an exciting summer of fireworks, politics and growth for the The Hawaii Kai Chamber. With board elections right around the corner, this couldn't be a better time to get involved. Positions will be opening up from committee members to prime board seats so don’t miss the oppurtunity to take action.

Hawaii as a whole has been moving forward with technology innovations and ecinomic developement. APEC projects are well in progress, and growth rates of visitors who came to Hawai‘i in June 2012 rose 20.4 percent compared to the previous year. We know we must continue to participate in well developed strategies and tackle heavy issues like GET taxes and health care reform. But what can we do on a community level?

It begins with each individual's contribution, which will brings about both positive and inspirational change.We can create change from the inside out in order to be more efficient in the way we conduct business. We can attempt to perceive things from another point of view. Cross promotion of services and updated websites can be initiated. We can remain loyal to our local brands, and make the time to volunteer to various local organizations.

HKCC has been doing the same by focusing on building more benefits for our members and creating east side events. You will continue to see more of our faces, and we hope to see more of yours. We can shake hands this upcoming holiday season as we create more venues for networking and more ways of exchanging business ideas. We look forward to seeing you at our popular networking mixers, the next scheduled for late October 2012.
