The annual Kaiwi Coast Run & Walk

Sunday, November 19, 2017

Aloha and Welcome to the Kaiwi Coast Run & Walk

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for our island community to experience the beauty of the scenic Kaiwi coastline at a runner’s or walker’s pace.  The road is closed from the start line until Hanauma Bay! The annual Kaiwi Coast Run & Walk is a community oriented 4-mile journey along the famous Kaiwi coast scenic highway. The event begins at Awawamalu (Sandy Beach) with the rise of the sun over the Kaiwi Channel, a Hawaiian oli and the blowing of the pu (conch) shell.
Race Start: 6:45 a.m.
